Chus Mateo: “We have to show the same energy and be alert like in the first game”
"I'm focused on getting the second win at home against Baskonia", said Llull.
Chus Mateo and Sergio Llull spoke to Realmadrid TV to discuss the second game of the Euroleague playoff against Baskonia, due to take place at the WiZink Center (Thursday, 9pm CEST). The coach said: ‘It's better to win than lose as it fills us with confidence. It's a playoff and everything can change quickly in two days in this type of contest. We have to be careful that this doesn't happen, we have to show the same energy and be alert like in the first game. We defended and ran the court well and distributed the ball well’.
"The playoffs are long and we're only 1-0 up. The team looks focused, hungry and ambitious. Ambition is a driving force that moves our legs faster, we can react better to mistakes and we don't let our heads drop. It's good to have that attitude because it will give us a chance to put in a good performance".
Baskonia's desire for revenge
"I'm expecting Baskonia to be at their best. They're going to try to bounce back after the defeat and we're expecting them to be riled up. And that's where we have to bring more energy because it's going to be a very difficult game, even more so than the first one. They've got some great players".
Llull: "We haven't achieved anything yet and we've got to go for the second win"
"I'm focused on getting the second win at home against Baskonia. Winning the first game is always important, but the team played very well and solidly. We executed the game plan very well, but we know that we haven't done anything yet and we have to go for the second win".

"I'm happy that I've achieved it and overtaken a legend like Navarro, who has been a role model for me. With the game almost decided yesterday, I pressed a little bit and I made it. I'm proud to lead the list of three-pointers in the Euroleague, but I have to push for more now to help the team achieve its goals. I owe everything to the club and I intend to play with gratitude for the trust".

"The Euroleague is the most difficult competition because we're up against some great teams. My best moment with Real Madrid was the shot that helped us win the trophy in Kaunas".
