Real Madrid booked their place in the Champions League semi-finals with a win over Manchester City in the quarter-final tie, which was ultimately decided on a penalty shootout. Our team are now set to face Bayern Munich in the next round. The semi-final first leg will be away from home on 30 April or 1 May, while the second will take place at the Santiago Bernabéu on 7 or 8 May.

The other semi-final sees PSG take on Borussia Dortmund. The final is scheduled for 1 June at Wembley (London).

Real Madrid once again face the German team in the most repeated clash in the European Cup (26 previous encounters). The last meeting between the two sides was in the semi-finals of the 2017/18 edition on the road to securing La Decimotercera. This season, Bayern finished top of Group A (ahead of Copenhagen, Galatasaray and Manchester United), eliminated Lazio in the last 16 (3-1) and Arsenal in the quarter-finals (3-2).
