Real Madrid begin a gruelling week with three games away from the Movistar Arena before tackling the Copa del Rey. The first two, today and Thursday, are part of a EuroLeague double-header in Istanbul. This evening, the Whites face Anadolu Efes at the Basketball Development Center as they aim for their 14th win in the competition.

The Madridistas arrive in Istanbul having claimed victory in seven of their last nine EuroLeague outings. Chus Mateo welcomes back Campazzo, who missed the last game due to paternity leave, and Dennis Smith Jr, who could make his EuroLeague debut. Ibaka did not travel. They face a tough side who are two wins behind and will be looking for a victory in front of their home fans after winning just one of their last seven games.

Anadolu Efes boast a strong roster, as does Chus Mateo. Apart from the return of Campazzo, the form of Feliz and the addition of Dennis Smith Jr. will be crucial in defence to curb the opposition's three-point shooting with talented players like Larkin, Beaubois, Bryant and PJ Dozier, their latest signing.

Madrid lead the way in rebounding (36.5 per game), with Tavares at the forefront (7.6). The arrival of Bruno Fernando provides further reinforcement in an essential area for the Madridista game. They will be facing an inside game with a strong rotation with ex-Madrid player Poirier, Oturu, Willis and Osmani. This is a European basketball classic that will be in its 45th meeting in the EuroLeague. Madrid have a favourable record of 29 to 16.
