Valencia Basket-Real Madrid: all out for the third win of the week
PREVIEW.Edu Bueno

Real Madrid close a demanding week in which they have achieved two great victories against Paris Basketball and Monaco in the Euroleague by visiting league leaders Valencia Basket. Our team will be looking for a win that will allow them to take first place in the 12th round of the championship (6:30pm CET).
Chus Mateo‘s team will play their third game in a row against the team that is the leader of the competition. In the previous two they won brilliantly in just 48 hours. Today it will be in Liga against an opponent who are at a very high level. Madrid want to continue with their positive form, being an unselfish and united team in both offence and defence. The reward could be huge. The Taronjas have one more win than us, but the overall basket average is in Madrid's favour (+2).
The Whites will face a team that stands out because of their depth, as reflected by their seven players in double digits in PIR: Montero and Jones at the helm, Puerto and Ojeleye at the small forward position and Pradilla, Costello and Brimah on the inside. Rebounding and defence will once again be key in a game featuring the four players with the best plus/minus ratio in the league: Campazzo and Tavares against Montero and Costello.
The best Liga game
They are the two most in-form teams in the league. Nine wins in 10 games for Pedro Martínez's side and 8 in 10 for Chus Mateo's team. Valencia Basket tops many of the statistics and is the best attack with 95.6 points on average. Madrid held Monaco to 72 points, 14 less than their average. In the first three quarters, they only allowed just over 40. Collective play has been the key to Madrid's recent victories and the Whites will try to take the lead today before facing the Clásico on the 29th.
