Real Madrid-Bayern München: looking to kick off the year with a win
The Whites go into the first game of 2025 in which Llull looks likely to become the Euroleague player with most games (9:00pm CET).

Real Madrid open a new year with many challenges ahead of them and are hoping to take the first step towards achieving them tonight. Chus Mateo‘s men host Bayern München in the 19th Euroleague game of the season, which will be played at the Movistar Arena (9:00pm CET). The objective is clear: to win the 10th victory in the competition and the first in 2025.
The Whites go into the game full of confidence after closing December with a win in the Clasico. However, they cannot be complacent against the German team, who are having a great season and have a record of 11 wins and 7 defeats in European competition.
The key will be to remain focused and aggressive, especially in defence, against the highest scoring team in the Euroleague (87.1 points on average). Bayern is characterised by a collective game in which everyone contributes and where Edwards (20.2 points) and Obst stand out. Both are lethal outside shooters. The dominance in the paint will be another point that will decide the winner. Tavares will have to face one of the most in-form pairs of inside players in Europe: the Booker-Voigtmann tandem.
Llull, one step closer to making European history
Real Madrid, who will be without the injured Deck, must show their experience. Llull, who could become the player with the most games in the history of the Euroleague, stands out here. The captain shows no let-up and continues to break records, as he did in the Clásico, in which he became the Madrid player with the most LaLiga games. Campazzo will also be alongside him. The point guard makes his teammates play (7.5 assists on average) and, alongside him, our team needs the points of Hezonja and Musa.
