Today marks 56 years since our eleventh basketball league title
Real Madrid won the title on 6 April 1969, beating Joventut on the road.

It was on 6 April 1969 that Real Madrid won their 11th basketball league title. The team coached by Pedro Ferrándiz won the title after drawing 83-83 away at second-placed Joventut in the penultimate game of the season. The result saw our team lift its second consecutive league title and continue a winning streak of 10 championships won between 1968 and 1977. Real Madrid finished the league campaign with 37 points (18 wins, 1 draw and 3 defeats), getting the better of Joventut (33 points). Clifford Luyk was Madrid's top scorer with 437 points. The eleventh league title reaffirmed the dominance of a historic team that ruled the court in both Europe and Spain.
