We won our eighth basketball league title 60 years ago

Real Madrid won the basketball Liga for the 8th time in their history in 1965. The 79-66 victory over Joventut mathematically secured the title for the Whites with two games still to play. The team coached by Pedro Ferrándiz won 13 of the 14 games and overtook Picadero in the standings.
That Liga season was the sixth in a row for Real Madrid, who continued to demonstrate their hegemony in the championship by winning eight of the first nine editions. Clifford Luyk was the top scorer for Madrid, who had a spectacular season with the treble of the European Cup, Liga, and the Spanish Cup.
