Llull, chosen as one of the 25 best players in the history of the Euroleague
The Real Madrid captain is on the list following a vote organised by the top continental competition.
Sergio Llull has been named as one of the 25 best players in the history of the Euroleague on its 25th anniversary. The vote was carried out by fans, the season's MVPs, members of the teams from the decades 2000-2010 and 2010-2020, winning coaches and the media. The Real Madrid captain has played more games in the history of the competition than any other player and enters this prestigious list after winning the continental title three times (2015, 2018 and 2023).
Llull's love affair with the Euroleague began on 14 February 2008, when he made his debut against Zalgiris Kaunas at Vistalegre. Since then, the Menorcan has also become the player with the most victories in the competition and the leader in three-pointers. Our captain has been the star of unforgettable memories for Madrid fans and the world of basketball, such as his basket in the final in Kaunas to win the Undécima.
Llull, also included in the Euroleague's team of the decade (2010-2020), was one of the first five players unveiled in the vote. Siskauskas, Spanoulis, De Colo and Vujcic are also among the top 25.
