The Movistar Arena held a minute's silence before the start of the EuroLeague play-in clash between Real Madrid and Paris Basketball in memory of Leo Beenhakker and Mario Vargas Llosa.
Leo Beenhakker, Real Madrid's legendary coach who managed the team between 1986 and 1989, and in 1992, died on 10 April at the age of 82. Mario Vargas Llosa, winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature, who was director of the Real Madrid Universidad Europea Chair, passed away on 13 April at the age of 89.
