Sergio Rodríguez, chosen as one of the 25 best players in the history of the Euroleague
The Real Madrid legend joins his former teammate Sergio Llull on the weekly list published by Europe's top club competition.
Sergio Rodríguez has been included in the list of the 25 best players in the history of the Euroleague, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary. The vote was made by fans, the MVPs of each season, members of the teams from the decades 2000-2010 and 2010-2020, winning coaches and the media. The point guard from the Canary Islands, the second Real Madrid player after Sergio Llull to be included in this list, has won three Euroleagues, two with Real Madrid (2015 and 2023) and another with CSKA Moscow (2019), as well as being named MVP and a member of the ideal starting five in the 2013/14 season.
Sergio Rodríguez has participated in 14 editions of the Euroleague, 8 of them wearing our shirt (2010/2016 and 2022/2024). The Tenerife-born player is one of the great legends of our club and of European basketball, the fourth player with the most games played in the top European competition (405) and the second in assists (1,874). Sergio Rodríguez thus joins the list of the top 25 revealed each week by the Euroleague, which also includes his former teammate Sergio Llull, Siskauskas, Spanoulis, De Colo, Vujcic, Mike James, Micic, Diamantidis and Anthony Parker.
