Chus Mateo: “We were able to hold out and rebound well at the end”
NEWS.

Chus Mateo and Andrés Feliz analysed Real Madrid'victory over Barcelona at the Palau Blaugrana in the 26th round of the League. The coach said after the game: “We made a huge effort to win on a complicated court against a team that play really well. We were patient enough to take the game to the end. Playing against Barcelona, who have such talented players, is not easy. We were good at the end, being able to hold out and rebound well.”
“We don't stop to think about the streak of consecutive victories we have been on, but it shows great mental strength and how the team works and trusts each other. Now we have an important game in the Euroleague, which we would like to win. We put in a huge effort at the end, and hopefully this mental strength that we showed at home and away, with consistency and endurance, will help us to win in Belgrade”.
Praise for the team
"It's good that we can all cherish all of our teammates’ performances because they help the team win. The important thing is that everyone contributes with what they know how to do. Both Feliz and Garuba have done a great job but so has the team, which has got the job done on a tricky court”.

Feliz: “The key was the collective play”
“It was a very tough game until the end but we stuck together, playing as a team to pull out the victory. The key has been the collective play, believing in each other and that is the path to follow.”
“I'm happy for the win but now we have to focus on the match in Belgrade. I’m very proud of what I’m contributing to the team. Thanks to my teammates and coaches because they have always supported me, and I hope to continue like this at this level.”
