Chus Mateo: "We played very intelligently"
"I'm happy because it was crucial to win today and we're going to continue fighting to make the playoffs," the coach explained.

Chus Mateo analysed Real Madrid's home victory against Virtus Bologna on gameday 29 of the Euroleague: "We played very intelligently today. We controlled the early stages and achieved a 13-point lead in the first quarter. We controlled the game, passed the ball well and picked up 21 assists, understanding how we had to play. We didn't give up the ball too much and controlled the rebounding. I'm very happy because it was crucial to win today. We're going to keep fighting to make the playoffs.‘
Garuba's game
"He's working very hard. He's an important player for us because he gives us a lot of energy and he was able to play very well in defence, as he did today against Shengelia, who had been averaging almost 20 points in recent games. He had a great game and I'm very happy with his performance."
On Deck's return
"He's on the right track. He'll probably be back for the next game, whether it's the league or the Euroleague. In any case, he's very close to returning, which makes me very happy because he's very important to us."
Outside shooting
"These things happen. I'm not worried about whether or not they'll go in because they're streaks. If we pass like we did today, we're sure to score. We haven't taken many three-point shots in recent games, but what I'm trying to get them to understand is that if we take open shots and they're good shots, in the end they're going to go in, because they're proficient shooters. Today we attacked and defended as a team and that's what's important."
