Chus Mateo: “We should always have faith in this team”
“To win in Athens, we have to put in a very good performance," said Campazzo.
Chus Mateo, Campazzo and Deck spoke to the press in the build-up to the second EuroLeague playoff game between Olympiacos and Real Madrid, set to be played in Athens (Friday, 8:30 pm CEST). The coach explained: “We should always have faith in this team. We still believe in our chances in this playoff. We only lost the first game, we've got another chance at their place to take back home-court advantage, which is always important."
“What we can't afford to do is lose the faith. We have to really focus on shooting well, not losing any balls, and, first and foremost, defend better in the first half. The team is highly motivated, focused on turning the series around. Let's start with tomorrow's game. It's a clean slate."
Campazzo: “Each playoff game will be different”
“Each playoff game with be different. We lost the first one but we have to move on and focus on the next. We'll try and avoid making the same mistakes, and concentrate on ourselves. If you want to win here, you have to put in a perfect performance, and we have the ability to do that."
Deck: “We have to give it 100%”
“The key is to stick together as a team for 40 minutes, pass the ball well and defend strongly. That's how we'll get the chance to make it a tight game right until the end. We have to give it 100%, keep fighting and make fewer mistakes."
