Chus Mateo: “We're expecting a very tough battle for the win against Girona”
“We're having a good run in the league with 16 wins in a row,” said the coach.

Chus Mateo spoke to Realmadrid TV the day before his side’s Liga ACB clash against Básquet Girona (Sunday, 12.30 pm CEST): “We have the two games in Athens fresh in our minds with a return leg on Tuesday. This match is also very difficult here in Girona and we will try to focus on this fixture. The second leg against Olympiacos is on our minds. They rest in their league and we have to keep going and fight this weekend against a team that has been doing really well.”
“They are very dangerous. Besides how well this team is playing lately, they have nothing to lose against Real Madrid. Real Madrid are a team to beat. They've been doing well against big teams at home. We're expecting a very tough battle for the win.”
Lack of rest
“We're having a good run in the league with 16 wins in a row. It isn't easy to maintain this pressure with what we have in the middle of the Euroleague and knowing that there is practically no rest. This game starts at 12:30 on Sunday, when we finished playing at midnight on Friday. We're going to try to recover physically as well as possible so that we can be ready to play a game that is a difficult task in the calendar.”
