NEWS.

Real Madrid ambassador Álvaro Arbeloa and Zlatko Maric, CEO of Be Free Football, launched the partnership to run a programme of educational football clinics to be held this year in the Maldives, Turkey, Greece, Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina. This initiative, which will involve more than 2,500 participants, aims to share the Real Madrid Foundation's methodology of education in values through sport and the experience of the high-performance clinics.

This collaboration started eight years ago with the aim of running clinics for children aged 6 to 16 in the Mediterranean region. This time it will take place in the Regnum hotels in Turkey; Mitsis in Greece; and Patina in the Maldives, with 1,200 participants; in the Croatian cities of Šibenik, Hvar, Cerna, Slavonski Brod, Vukovar, Belišće and Slatina, with 1,000 children; and in Bugojno, Posušje and Orašje in Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Foundation Clinics
These clinics offer children already involved in football the opportunity to develop their skills through specific training under the guidance of coaches trained in the organisation's methodology For a real education: Values and sport. All of them are supported by the Real Madrid Sports Department. The profits from these activities will support the socio-sports projects that the Real Madrid Foundation runs in the region for children at risk of exclusion.
