The Real Madrid Foundation has joined in with initiatives on International Childhood Cancer Day to support the young people suffering with the disease and their families. One of the special events to mark the occasion was a chance to enjoy the Children's Hospital Basketball Program, which is run on a weekly basis and features mascot Valorcito.

This time, children at the Gregorio Marañón General University Hospital in Madrid had fun playing basketball in ways adapted to their needs, alongside Valorcito. There was a great sense of community as the children enjoyed the exercises and got the opportunity to witness the values of team sports in action. The coach, joined by Valorcito, also spent some time going from room to room to play with the kids, treating them to a special moment and making them see how sport can be a vital part of their recovery process.

Collaborators
The Children's Hospital Basketball Program is made possible thanks to the collaboration of organisations including Fundación AMA, Medical Service Care, Cantabria Labs and the Fundación Nemesio Díez. Alongside this event, the basketball first team is also set to wear the colours of the Fundación Aladina, the Foundation's program partner at the Hospital Niño Jesús.
