The Real Madrid Foundation hosts inaugural Innovation Forum for Social Sports Schools Program in Asia-Pacific
A space for shared learning and innovation in social inclusion.
The Real Madrid Foundation held its first Asia-Pacific Social Sports School Program Innovation Forum in Siem Reap (Cambodia). The event brought together 11 local partners from countries including Australia, Bhutan, Cambodia, The Philippines, India, Indonesia and the People's Republic of China. The forum was devised to foster a sense of community among local collaborators, driving shared learning and incentivizing innovation in social inclusion among vulnerable children and teenagers.
Another collaborator in the forum was Transformancy, international consultants specialising in organizational learning, who helped facilitate the event. Transformancy worked with the Foundation on an evaluation conducted in 2021, which underlined the institution's potential as a knowledge manager, connecting experiences, promoting exchange and strengthening its partners' capacity in both regional and global contexts.
Visit to the social sports school
During the event, attendees also got the chance to visit the Battambang Social Sports School, a project run in collaboration with SAUCE, picked out as an example of good practices in the region.
As a result of the forum, three practicing communities were set up around specific issues. The participants committed to reflecting on their experiences, exchanging knowledge and working together to improve the implementation of the international Social Sports Schools.
The Real Madrid Foundation underlines its commitment to social inclusion and community development through sports, consolidating itself as a benchmark in the promotion of global alliances and learnings to transform the lives of society's most vulnerable.
