Real Madrid Foundation and Kinetic Foundation cement their partnership in Croydon with training sessions for coaches
Coaches and future sports leaders are being trained to promote values through sport in the UK.
In October, the Real Madrid Foundation completed the 1st Football and Basketball Training Days in Croydon (UK). This event, organised in collaboration with the Kinetic Foundation, was aimed at developing the skills of coaches and young aspiring coaches in the Fundación's teaching methodology, which focuses on the transmission of essential values. The event was attended by 12 participants, who underwent three days of intensive training on teaching values through sport. They completed practical exercises to build respect, cooperation and decision making on the pitch.
During the days, participants were involved in the comprehensive training methodology, designed to stimulate creativity and a sense of responsibility in the players. Additionally, the final day comprised specialised sessions on training planning, a crucial element in aligning the sporting and educational objectives of the socio-sports school. Located in Croydon, one of the most diverse areas of South London, the school aims to promote the social inclusion and development of young people in vulnerable situations, who have demonstrated outstanding continuity in their studies or vocational training in 95% of cases.
Since 2018, the Real Madrid Foundation and Kinetic Foundation have been working together, with the support of partners such as Abbott and UPS. This commitment was extended in 2023 at an event at Real Madrid City attended by Emilio Butragueño. In addition, the Kinetic coaches participated in various activities, such as coach training days and nutrition workshops, thereby contributing to the holistic well-being of young people aged 16-18.
The Fundación Real Madrid and the Kinetic Foundation consolidated their mission to provide these young people with opportunities to develop both on a sporting and personal level, allowing them to broaden their perspective on the future and build a path full of values.
