Official Statement: death of Jorge Nuno Pinto da Costa

Real Madrid C. F., our President and Board of Directors are deeply saddened by the passing of Jorge Nuno Pinto da Costa, F. C. Porto's long-standing president between 1982 and 2024.

During his 42 years as president, F. C. Porto won 68 titles: 2 European Cups, 2 Intercontinental Cups, 1 European Super Cup, 2 Europa Leagues, 23 Leagues, 15 Portuguese Cups, 22 Super Cups and 1 Portuguese League Cup.

Real Madrid would like to express their condolences and send their affection to his family and loved ones, his club and all his fans, and to Portuguese football.

Pinto da Costa has passed away at the age of 87. May he rest in peace.
