Official Announcement: Passing of José Ramón Ramos

Real Madrid C. F., the club's president and its Board of Directors are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of José Ramón Ramos, one of Real Madrid's and Spanish basketball's historic players.

Real Madrid would like to extend our condolences and sympathy to his brother Vicente Ramos, a Real Madrid legend, his relatives, teammates, and his loved ones.

Over the six seasons he played in the Real Madrid jersey, between 1966 and 1972, José Ramón Ramos won 2 European Cups, 5 Spanish League titles, and 4 Spanish Cups. He won 67 caps for Spain and 1 Spanish Cup with Estudiantes.

José Ramón Ramos passed away at the age of 81. Real Madrid would like to share its condolences with all Real Madrid fans. May he rest in peace.
