The madridista supporter clubs have turned out in force for an event held in Jeddah. The Intercontinental Hotel hosted 500 fans representing 24 Real Madrid supporter clubs in the build-up to the Spanish Super Cup final (8:00 pm CET).

President Florentino Pérez made a speech for the attendees: "Welcome to this very special event in the lovely city of Jeddah. We were here together five years ago and today you have once again shown us your affection and hospitality."

The Real Madrid values
"At Real Madrid we feel so incredibly proud of all of you because you represent the values that unite millions of people around the world. The history and legendary status of Real Madrid have been cemented over the course of 122 years, based on the values that have been passed down from generation to generation: hard work, sacrifice, a desire for self-improvement, teamwork, humility, respect and solidarity. That's why I always say, being a Real Madrid fan is a way of living your life and a responsibility as well."

Support in the final
"For our team, our players and our coach, your presence and support are hugely important. We saw that on Thursday in the semi-final against tough opposition in Mallorca and your strength will be crucial once again this evening in the Spanish Super Cup final, another Clásico against Barcelona."

Message to the supporter clubs
"You're all here with us today representing clubs spread across this part of the world, and more far-flung places too. I'd like to thank you for your efforts, and reiterate how proud we are of all of you who work hard every day to ensure a love of Real Madrid continues to be present across every continent."

A madridista feeling
"Our crest is in people's hearts, and all madridistas are one big family, it doesn't matter where we come from, our nationality, language, religion, ideology or culture. You are an example of that passion and that strength that have taken us to achieving what is an inimitible honours list. We're currently experiencing one of the most successful eras of all time. Real Madrid is the only team that has won 6 Champions Leagues in 10 years, and they haven't done it only once, they've managed it twice throughout history."

The role of the Foundation
"Beyond all the trophies, Real Madrid is also present around the world in a way that is part of our identity, in the form of solidarity. Our Real Madrid Foundation has helped over one and a half million people in over 100 countries since its creation. Here in Saudi Arabia I also had the chance to visit our solidarity project in Riadh last year, helping 300 children who have the chance to learn sporting values."

The Clásico
"Tonight, at the King Abdullah Stadium, we'll try and share another joyful moment together, but we know it'll be a difficult game. That's why your presence and your support is so important. We're certain our team will give it their all to make madridismo happy, and you know that with this crest on your chest, we will never give up."
To conclude the event, the president presented a Real Madrid jersey to each of the supporters clubs in attendance at the Intercontinental Hotel in Jeddah.
