The new documentary Megastructures: the Bernabéu of the 21st Century is set to premiere on Disney+ and National Geographic tomorrow evening (from 10:50pm CET). The program was unveiled today, and is a step-by-step account of the construction and full remodel of our stadium. The new design is crowned by a futuristic metallic façade, wrapped around the entire outside, the retractable roof, a 360º video scoreboard and a vast logistics ring. The documentary delves into the amazing innovations present in the new Bernabéu, including how the pitch is preserved underground, turning the space into a multifunctional events venue. It also reveals the secrets behind the transformation through interviews with club president Florentino Pérez and many of the experts who have helped make it a reality.
