Second anniversary of club's eighth Club World Cup
On 11 February 2023, Real Madrid clinched the World Cup title with a 5-3 win over Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia in the final.

Two years ago, Real Madrid clinched their eighth Club World Cup in the club's history. The victory was at the Prince Moulay Abdellah stadium in Rabat, which hosted the semi-final against Egypt's Al Ahly (1-4) and the final against Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia (5-3). In the trophy decider, Vini Jr. and Valverde each netted braces, while Benzema was Madridista's other scorer. Vini Jr., Valverde, Rodrygo and Arribas got the goals in the first game.
After the final, Vini Jr. was named player of the tournament for his sparkling performance in both matches. Having won the Intercontinental Cup in 2024, Real Madrid have now been crowned world champions nine times and now boast an unrivalled trophy cabinet.
