Special: Vini Jr., The Best FIFA Men's Player 2024
Ancelotti won The Best FIFA Men's coach, while Carvajal, Rüdiger, Kroos, Bellingham and Vini Jr. were all named in The Best FIFA Men's XI.
On 17 December 2024, Vini Jr. was named The Best FIFA Men's Player 2024 following a spectacular season. At the gala held in Doha on the eve of the Intercontinental Cup final, the Brazilian won the voting by an international panel made up of coaches of the men's national teams, a specialist journalist representing each country and fans registered on FIFA.com.
“It's hugely important to me. I'd like to thank everyone who voted for me," underlined the madridista forward, who played a key role in winning the Champions League, LaLiga and the Spanish Super Cup during the 2023/24 campaign. FIFA president Gianni Infantino also discussed Vini Jr.'s award: "If you want to know who the best player in the world is, it has to be through FIFA, because everyone votes, it's transparent, objective and inclusive."
Another star of the awards was Carlo Ancelotti. The madridista manager was named The Best FIFA Men's Coach 2024 after he continued to make history at the helm, lifting the Champions League, LaLiga and the Spanish Super Cup: “It's an honour to receive this award. I'd like to share it with my club and my president, Florentino Pérez, who gave me the chance to coach the best team in the world. I'd like to share it with my players as well," added the Italian boss.
Our team's successes were also reflected in the Best XI revealed at the ceremony. Carvajal, Rüdiger, Kroos, Bellingham and Vini Jr. were all named in The Best FIFA Men's 11 2024. Once the ceremony had finished, the Real Madrid squad congratulated their teammates who scooped awards, as the winners posed with their trophies at the team hotel.
