Real Madrid Castilla earned a point away at Intercity, who equalised 2-2 in stoppage time. Raúl's side had to come back from Anthony Modeste's bicycle kick goal midway through the first half and they did so with goals from David Jiménez and Yáñez in the second half. In the dying seconds, Nacho González's goal denied the academy team victory, and they have now gone eight games without defeat in 2025 (5 wins and 3 draws).

Real Madrid Castilla started brightly and dominated the early exchanges. The first chance came after a series of rebounds from a corner and Gonzalo very nearly capitalised with a diving header that was saved by Samu Casado. The home side responded immediately and took the lead in the ensuing move with a delightful bicycle kick from Modeste.

David Jiménez levels
In the 26th minute Gonzalo headed the ball home, but the goal was disallowed for an offside against Jacobo. And just before the break, the Madrid academy side levelled the game. In the 40th minute, Manuel Ángel crossed from the left wing and David Jiménez caught the Intercity defence by surprise at the far post and slotted home with a first-time shot with his right foot.

Yáñez grabs the second
After the interval, Intercity almost struck in the 55th minute with a double chance. A magnificent save by Mario de Luis from Modeste's header and even better reflexes from the goalkeeper to deny Nsue when one-on-one. The move gave way to the best spell of the game for Raúl's men, who took the lead in the 70th minute. David Jiménez played a precise pass to Gonzalo, who cut back to Samu Casado and he was brought down inside the area by the keeper. Yáñez beat the Intercity defence and pounced on the loose ball to make it 1-2. In the 79th minute, David Jiménez had the chance to round off a fantastic performance when his free-kick was saved by Samu Casado on the goal line. And just when it looked like Raúl's men were going to take all three points, Nacho González popped up to equalise in stoppage time.
