Real Madrid return to action after the November international break. This evening, the Whites begin a demanding run of nine matches before the Christmas break and the first of these is against Leganés at the Municipal de Butarque stadium (Sunday, 6.30 pm CET). Madrid will be vying to build on their victory last time out against Osasuna (4-0) and secure their ninth win of the LaLiga season.
Picking up a win is crucial to building confidence in these last few games of the year. After the game against Leganés, Madrid will visit Anfield on Wednesday to face Liverpool in the Champions League (9 pm CET) and four days later they return to the Bernabéu to kick off the month of December against Getafe (4.15 pm). Athletic Club, Girona, Atalanta and Rayo Vallecano, away from home, will be the next opponents before competing in the Intercontinental Cup at the Lusail Stadium in Qatar (Wednesday 18 December). The Whites will round off 2024 against Sevilla at the Bernabéu (Sunday 22 December, 4.15 pm).
“It's the start of a very important cycle of matches,” said Ancelotti in the press conference ahead of the clash on matchday 14 of LaLiga. Courtois is back in the Italian coach’s squad along with the players who have returned from international duty, including Vini Jr. The Brazilian has found the net in five of his last six games for Madrid, netting nine goals in the process.
The opposition

All of their wins have come at the Estadio Municipal de Butarque, where they are performing strongly and have taken 10 of their 14 points. Juan Cruz is their top scorer in the competition, with four goals.
