Real Madrid-FC Salzburg: the Champions League is back
The Whites will be looking for three points at the Bernabéu as they take on the Austrians for the first time in the competition (9 pm CET).

The Champions League is back. A month and a half after their last fixture in the competition (2-3 win over Atalanta), Real Madrid host Salzburg this evening on matchday seven (9 pm CET). Ancelotti’s side will be eager to take three important points in front of their home fans as they look to progress to the next round of the competition.
The Whites go into the clash on the back of eliminating Celta in the Copa del Rey and beating UD Las Palmas to move to the top of the league. They now face their third game in a row at the Bernabéu, and this is the first time the two teams go head-to-head in an official competition. However, Real Madrid did visit Salzburg in the 2019/20 pre-season, where the Madridistas claimed victory (0-1).

The French striker is in excellent form and is the team's top scorer with 18 goals, four of which have come in his last three outings.
