Villarreal vs. Real Madrid: all out for a win before the international break
Our team is aiming for all three points and to take the top spot in a tough trip to the Estadio de la Cerámica (6:30 pm CET).

There is no break from competition for Real Madrid and after qualifying for the quarter-finals of the Champions League last Wednesday at the Metropolitano, Real Madrid face a demanding trip to the Estadio de la Cerámica this afternoon to face Villarreal in LaLiga matchday 28 (6:30 pm CET).
The objective for Ancelotti's men ahead of the break for national team commitments is clear: to try to get their eighteenth league win and move to the top of the table with the rest of this matchday’s fixtures still to be played. Madrid are second, level on points with Barcelona, who have a game in hand, and one point ahead of Atletico. These two teams will face each other tomorrow at the Metropolitano.

“We have to play an intelligent game to beat Villarreal,” said Ancelotti in the pre-match press conference. This is the squad the Italian coach called-up for our team's second outing this week and which will have to cope with the physical exhaustion from last Wednesday in the Champions League, where they managed to eliminate Atlético in a penalty shoot-out.
Villarreal
Marcelino's side have had a good season. They are fifth in the table and still have the postponed match against Espanyol to play. At home, Villarreal have only lost two of their 12 matches in the league this season (5 wins and 5 draws). Ayoze is their top scorer with 14 goals, 11 of them in LaLiga.
