Asencio: "We were tough and played as a team"

Raúl Asencio produced a complete performance against Manchester City. The academy product was outstanding in defence and he also provided the assist for the first goal with a long pass to Mbappé. At the end of the Champions League play-off to reach the last 16, Asencio had the following to say: “It was a tough tie, we were focused from the first moment and in both matches we were strong and played as a team.”
“We have to play as well as possible, without conceding goals and helping the team at the back. We're prepared to defend against any player. Haaland is a great player, in the first leg we managed to contain him and in the second leg we were ready.”
