Modrić played the full 90 minutes as Croatia beat France in the first leg of their Nations League quarter-final tie. The home side, with the Real Madrid player as captain, went into the break 2-0 up after goals from Budimir and Perisic. Mbappé and Tchouameni also started for France, while Camavinga came on in the 64th minute. A place in the final stage of the competition will be decided this Sunday at the Stade de France.
