Real Madrid face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final (Tuesday, 9:00pm CEST). It will be the first time the Whites have visited the London stadium for an official match. In the 2005/06 season, both teams met in the English capital in the last sixteen of the European Cup, but the match was played at Highbury.

In 2006, Arsenal moved to the Emirates Stadium, which began construction in 2004 and has a capacity of approximately 60,000 spectators. As well as being the home of Arteta's team, the stadium also hosts international football and rugby matches, concerts and other events.

Emirates Cup

Real Madrid did visit Arsenal's current stadium for a friendly tournament: the Emirates Cup. It was in August 2008, and they played both Arsenal and Hamburg.
