Real Madrid receive Sporting Merit Award at Madrid Football Federation gala
Solari collected the prize on behalf of the team after they won the Champions League, LaLiga and the Spanish Super Cup last season.
Real Madrid has been presented with the Sporting Merit Award at the Madrid Royal Football Federation ceremony, held at the Teatro Auditorio de Alcobendas. Real Madrid's Director of Football Santiago Solari picked up the accolade, which acknowledges our team's outstanding campaign.
Real Madrid lifted three trophies during the 2023/24 season. The first came on 14 January 2024 - it was the club's 13th Spanish Super Cup, this time thanks to a win over Barcelona in the final in Riyadh. On 4 May, Ancelotti's boys made mathematically certain of a 36th LaLiga title, with four games left to play. The icing on the cake came on 1 June, with La Decimoquinta, thanks to victory over Borussia Dortmund at Wembley.
