1-1: Arsenal draw on the road prior to hosting Madrid
Our upcoming Champions League opposition went ahead through Trossard, but Everton levelled the game in the second half.

Arsenal drew one apiece with Everton on their trip to Goodison Park on Premier League matchday 31. Arteta's side, who are gearing up to welcome Real Madrid for the Champions League quarter-final first leg on Tuesday, were dominant in the opening 45 minutes and took the lead when Trossard rounded off a swift counter-attack with 34 on the clock.
The second half was a more open affair, and Everton struck from the spot when Lewis-Skelly brought down Harrison on 49'. The decision went to VAR and Ndiaye stepped up to convert. Arsenal then made a host of substitutions and managed to take back control, only to come up time and again against an inspired Jordan Pickford, who kept them at bay. The point sees our next Champions League opponents remain second in the Premier League behind Liverpool.
