Pep Guardiola and Bernardo Silva spoke to the media in the press room at the Santiago Bernabéu ahead of the Real Madrid-Manchester City clash. The coach of the Premier League side had the following to say: “We have to produce a perfect performance and get a good result. It's not the best situation, we have to attack and score goals. The players have to give everything, the Bernabéu is what it is and in this type of great stadium there are moments when you suffer. It's never been easy here.”
“Given the result we had, we have to give it our all. It's not the best result, but we'll try to get through. It was never easy with Barcelona, Bayern and Manchester City. Sometimes things have worked out for us and we'll see tomorrow.”
Bernardo Silva: “It'll be difficult because Madrid are a top team”
“It's a mixture of emotions. We've played them eight or nine times. It'll be an exciting game and I'm looking forward to it. We have a chance to stay in this competition, it's a great motivator to put Real Madrid in trouble. It'll be difficult because they're a top team.”
“We have to believe despite the difficulty of the task. We have to be focused and stick to the plan. Madrid are very good at counter-attacking and breaking, and we'll be under a lot of pressure at this stadium.”
