6 years ago, Real Madrid won its 14th football league championship. Our team mathematically secured the title with three matchdays still to play at the end of the season. The madridistas confirmed their title win by beating Zaragoza at the Santiago Bernabéu (2-0) with goals from Grosso and Velázquez.

The team coached by Miguel Muñoz ended the 1968/69 League with 47 points, followed by Las Palmas with 38. That season’s Pichichi Trophy went to Amancio and Gárate, both with 14 goals. Real Madrid went on a spectacular 27-game unbeaten streak and lifted the title for the eighth time in nine years.
