Tribute to Marcelo before the derby
The madridista legend, who this Thursday announced his retirement from professional football, made history with our club by lifting 25 titles in 16 seasons.
Marcelo received a tribute from the Santiago Bernabéu before the derby. Having announced his retirement as a professional footballer on Thursday, the Brazilian came out onto the pitch, accompanied by his sons Enzo and Liam, and received a shirt signed by all the players in the squad, with whom he posed for a family photo afterwards.
Marcelo is one of our club and world football's greatest legends. Over the course of sixteen seasons at Real Madrid, he lifted 25 trophies in 546 games: 5 European Cups, 4 Club World Cups, 3 European Super Cup, 6 LaLiga titles, 2 Copas del Rey and 5 Spanish Super Cups.
