Joselu: "The team fought until the very end"
"The last few weeks have taken their toll on us, but we have to value what we've done today and focus on what's to come," explained the striker.
Joselu scored Real Madrid's second goal with a header from a Bellingham cross. The striker summed up the Copa derby at the Metropolitano: "We made some individual mistakes that really hurt us, but in general terms we played a good game. At 2-2 we wanted to get the win, but we have a lot of players with a lot of games under their belts and a lot of game-time weighing on their legs. The last few weeks have been tough for us, but we have to value what we did today and focus on what's to come."
"In the last week we've travelled a lot and we've played two extra time periods and a Super Cup final. That burns you out physically in the end. We had the trip back and then quickly the game here. The team wanted to win and fought until the end, but so much travelling and so many games have taken their toll on us. Winning a title in January is what we attach importance to. Now it's time to focus on LaLiga and the Champions League."
Scorer of the second goal
"Happy to score the goal that sent the game into extra time, happy to do what I can for the team and disappointed with the final result. Now we have to think about Sunday."
