Should Ancelotti's side go through, they would face either Atlético or Bayer Leverkusen in the last 16. The first leg would be played at the Santiago Bernabéu and the return leg away. The round of 16 ties and each team's path to the final will be determined by a further draw on 21 February.
Opposition
This will be the fourth consecutive year that Real Madrid and Manchester City have met in the Champions League.
