The midfielder was born in Zadar (Croatia) on 9 September 1985 and since joining Real Madrid in the 2012/13 campaign he has gone on to become the most decorated player in the club's history with 27 trophies: 6 European Cups, 5 Club World Cups, 5 European Super Cups, 4 LaLiga titles, 2 Copas del Rey and 5 Spanish Super Cups.
