First anniversary of club's 13th Spanish Super Cup

On 14 January 2024, Real Madrid lifted their 13th Spanish Super Cup at the Al-Awwal Park stadium in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia). This was the second edition of the competition to be played in a knockout format and outside Spain. In the final, the Whites beat Barcelona 4-1 after a spectacular display by Vini Jr, who scored three goals in the first half and was named MVP of the final. Rodrygo netted the fourth goal in the second half.
Previously, Ancelotti’s side overcame Atlético in extra time in the semi-finals. Rüdiger and Mendy scored in the first half, but Atlético fought back with three goals. Carvajal made it 3-3 in the final minutes to force extra-time. A goal from Joselu gave Madrid the lead in the first half of extra time and, in the 120th minute, Brahim made it 5-3 with a wonderful goal.
