Rodrygo has scored the first Real Madrid league goal in the last two seasons
The Brazilian opened the scoring in the first game of the 2023/24 campaign against Athletic Club and did it again this season at Son Moix.
Rodrygo has got the season off to an impressive start. Following his involvement in the conquest of the European Super Cup, the Brazilian was on target for Real Madrid against Mallorca to open the account for the reigning La Liga champions. This is the second year running that he has scored Real Madrid's first goal of the campaign.
Ancelotti’s side kicked of their campaign on 12 August 2023 with a 2-0 away to Athletic Club, on their way to their 36th league title. Rodrygo opened the scoring with a well-struck effort from inside the area, before Bellingham got the second to seal all three points in San Mames. The Brazilian got the opener this season at Son Moix, after a good team move.
