Daniel Yáñez made his debut in an official match for Real Madrid in the Whites' win over Girona at Montilivi on LaLiga matchday sixteen. The Juvenil A striker, who joined the club in 2019 to play for Infantil B, replaced Arda Güler in the 88th minute. The 17-year-old explained on Realmadrid TV: "I've been dreaming about this moment for a long time. Ever since I was born I've been a Real Madrid player and ever since I was little I've said that this was my dream. Today it has finally come true.
"Ancelotti and my team-mates have told me to enjoy it. To play the way I know how and to do what I do with my team. To let myself go on the pitch and get rid of my nerves.
Special season
"Playing with Castilla is also a very big illusion. After yesterday's match they called me to come to Girona today. I'm looking forward to it more than ever. It's been a very positive season for me. I'm working as hard as I can for moments like this. I hope that many more will come".
How do you define yourself?
"I define myself as a humble person who has always dreamed of playing with the great players and learning from them. That's what I'm going to continue to do from now on.
