Vini Jr. has been appointed Unesco Goodwill Ambassador for Education for All. Audrey Azoulay, Director-General of Unesco, honoured the Brazilian player at a ceremony held at Real Madrid Sport City and attended by Emilio Butragueño, Real Madrid Director of Institutional Relations.
Vini Jr. has been recognised for "his commitment to promoting access to quality education for all, demonstrated through his outstanding and inspirational role as a footballer involved in educational activities, and the defence and promotion of the ideals of the organisation."
