Carlo Ancelotti spoke in the press room at Real Madrid City ahead of the Real Madrid-Valladolid clash, on matchday two of LaLiga: “It's always important to play at our stadium. We're looking forward to returning because it's been a long time since we've played there. We have to put on a good display, win the game and have a good day.”
“We've prepared well for the match this week. We've worked on what didn't go well in the game against Mallorca. We have fully understood what happened and we've tried to fix it. It will be a good test against Valladolid.”

“We lacked balance at times and we have to work on this. It's not difficult to find the problem and, when it's clear, it helps to find the solution.”

“I spoke to him and asked him if anything had happened. It was false, he's very happy here and he's working really well. He's been one of the best players in recent games and there's no problem with him.”

Looking for a centre-back?
"No. We have resources, namely the young players we have and they're very good. We also have Tchouameni as an emergency. We're waiting for Vallejo and we're not going to rush him back."

Rodrygo’s contribution
"We all know what qualities he has. In these two games, he's done really well. He scored against Mallorca and contributed plenty against Atalanta. When we have an attacking team, the forwards have to work a bit more and he's doing a great job."
Attacking play down the left wing
“With Vini Jr. we play a bit more on the left wing because of the quality he has. It's been a feature of this team. Benzema wanted to play on the centre left and so did Bellingham. Now, I'm not going to say that we have to play on the other wing when in the last few years we've won two Champions League trophies playing there. We have to continue like this.”

“Camavinga’s injury will be for a month and I think he'll be back at the end of September. We thought that a year to play could be very important to his progress and that's what we've done. He'll play for a year and then he'll come back stronger and smarter.”
