Real Madrid beat Betis to make it five in a row in the league

Real Madrid enjoyed an impressive win in their second game of the week. The madridistas were too good for Betis at the Ciudad Deportiva Luis del Sol on matchday 17 in the league. Our team dominated the clash from start to finish but had to wait for the second half for the goals to start flowing. Møller opened the scoring on 58’, before Bruun and Athenea extended the lead inside just two minutes (64’ and 66’). With 15 left on the clock, Carla cut the deficit, but Athenea rounded off a great result by completing her brace to make it 1-4 and extend Real Madrid’s winning run in the league to five games.
 
After a cagey start, Cameron tested Misa with a curling effort that the madridista was able to gather easily (10’). With quarter of an hour gone, our team hit back with a decent double chance. Linda Caicedo latched onto a pass into the box but was unable to finish past Vizosa, then Maite Oroz pounced on the rebound but shot over the bar. Madrid dominated possession and the chances were flowing now. On 29’ Møller tried her luck from the edge of the box but her effort also went over the bar - despite the madridistas' efforts, halftime came around with the scores level.
The goals start to flow
Five minutes after the restart, Linda picked up a Møller pass and forced Vizoso into a super save. Betis responded quickly through Cameron, whose effort was well saved by Misa. With just about an hour gone, it was finally 0-1 through Møller. Bruun swung a great ball into the box and the Dane fired past Vizoso.
The madridistas were still pressing on and Toletti then played a delightful pass into the box from the edge of the area,
