Real Madrid took all three points at the Bernabéu against Leganés, who had gone into the break leading 1-2. Previously, Mbappé had put Ancelotti's side ahead by converting a Panenka-style penalty. In the second half, Bellingham and an indirect free kick from Mbappé, his second consecutive brace, gave our team the victory.

Madrid started in dominant fashion and with a very high press, stealing balls with ease. Fran García's alertness led to the first dangerous play. The full-back got to the byline first and his cut back for Bellingham on 23 minutes was moved on to Modrić, but the Croatian's shot was deflected over by the head of Sergio G. on the goal line. Just a minute later, Brahim tried with a shot from the edge of the box that was saved by Dmitrovic. The shackles were well and truly off Real Madrid and Mbappé had an even clearer chance in the 26th minute with a rasping left-footed shot from inside the area, to which the goalkeeper produced a fantastic stop in reply.

Chances
On the half-hour mark, González Fuertes awarded a penalty against Óscar for a foul on Arda Güler and Mbappé converted in Panenka style to put the home side ahead and score for the third consecutive league match. The joy was short-lived however, as Diego Garcia equalized almost as soon as the game had restarted. The match had become a constant back-and-forth and Brahim could have put Madrid ahead again in the 36th minute after a beautiful team move, but his shot went wide. And from a possible 2-1 lead, it was 1-2 with Raba's goal in the 41st minute. In stoppage time, Mbappé had a double chance to restore parity. Dmitrovic shone from the Frenchman's instinctive shot from the edge of the area, Arda Güler collected the rebound and put the ball on the Frenchman’s head, who missed the target by inches.

Mbappé crowned the victory
There was no option but to turn the game around after the break, and the equaliser came almost straight from the kick-off. In the 47th minute, Bellingham, with hardly any space, worked a shot inside the box but Dmitrovic responded with a fine save. The rebound fell to Brahim, his shot was blocked by Tapia on the line, but the ball hit the crossbar and Bellingham was on hand to acrobatically slot it home. 2-2 and with plenty of time left to complete a comeback that Brahim came close to exacting in the 54th minute, but his shot hit the post. The minutes ticked by and in the 76th minute came the deserved reward of the third goal. Mbappé scored from a masterful indirect free kick from the edge of the area, the Frenchman's second consecutive brace. From then until the end, Ancelotti's men were able to hold on to their advantage and take all three points.
