The squad trained at Real Madrid City and began preparations for the first leg of the Champions League last-16 tie, as Ancelotti’s men take on Atlético Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu (Tuesday, 9 pm CET).
Those who started the league game against Betis did recovery work inside the facilities and on the pitch. The rest of the squad performed ball-retention drills, possession and tactical exercises. To finish the session, they played a game in reduced spaces. Valverde and Vallejo worked out individually in the gym and on the pitch, while Ceballos continued with his recovery programme.
