Weir named Mahou Five Star Player for March

Caroline Weir has been chosen as the Mahou Five Star Player for March. The footballer received this award in recognition of her fine performances with Real Madrid last month. The midfielder, who played in eight of the team's nine matches, scored twice against Barcelona and once against Real Sociedad to become the top scorer in club history (40 goals).
After collecting the award at Real Madrid City, Weir expressed her gratitude for the recognition: "It's great, as always. Having the support of the fans is very special to me. It's been a great month for the team and also for the club. As always, I'm very grateful for an award like this."
"We have five games left to play. Big games and we want to win each and every one of them, to keep putting pressure on Barcelona and finish the LaLiga season strongly. They're important games and it's very important for the team to finish the league season well. That is our main objective."
