1-1: All square in the second pre-season friendly

Real Madrid drew the second test of the pre-season. Our team came up against Madrid CFF on pitch 7 at Real Madrid City in a tough match that saw Toril's side create the best chances.

The Whites controlled the ball throughout the first half and could have gone ahead on a number of occasions. The clearest chances for Real Madrid were a shot that struck the post from Olga in the 13th minute, a shot from Eva Navarro (17') and when Athenea was one-on-one with the keeper in the 27th minute, as they went in at the break deserving to be ahead.

The second half saw the home side again take the initiative, but as the minutes ticked by, it was their opponents who went ahead through Kayla after 55 minutes. Bruun was able to level the score in the 82nd minute thanks to a shot from outside the box. Toril brought on Carla Camacho in the closing stages of the game, making her comeback from a long-term injury.

Toril's team have one last friendly before the start of the league season against Deportivo La Coruña in the Galician town of Viveiro, in the Torneo Cantarrana (Sunday, 1 September, 11am).
