Real Madrid picked up all three points from their final game at the Alfredo Di Stéfano stadium this season. Alberto Toril's side had to show what they're made of against Athletic Club in the first half and went on to win the game in the 69th minute thanks to a goal from academy graduate Paula Comendador straight after coming on as a substitute. The team bring the league campaign to a close next Friday away to Sporting Huelva (7pm CEST).
Athletic Club came close to taking the lead in the 12th minute as Maddi's left-footed shot from the edge of the area was deflected wide by Chavas. Our team looked for a way through down the wings and with crosses into the box, but were unable to create any clear chances. Real Madrid's best attempt came near the end of the first half as Svava's cross was met by Maite Oroz's left-footed shot, but Quiñones kept it out.

The pattern of the game continued after the break. Both sides exchanged blows until Paula Comendador came on in the 68th minute. Only a minute later, the academy product latched on to a rebound inside the penalty area following a Raso shot and slotted past Quiñones to make it 1-0. Real Madrid went in search of a second goal, but in the end Comendador's strike proved to be enough to clinch the win.
